Tropiflora's plant nutrients and trace elements are chelated for slow release over a 10-14 day period, creating controlled, healthy plant growth. In addition Tropiflora contains potassium to help prevent yellowing in plant leaves.

By encouraging the growth of "higher" aquatic plants in the aquaria, Tropiflora in turn helps to suppress the growth of algae.
